Thank you for visiting my portfolio. My name is Cindy McCluskey. I was born in New Brunswick, Canada, and currently live with my husband in California. I grew up in a smaller town, so life on the west coast of America has been very different and exciting for me. I went to college at the New Brunswick Community College in Miramichi. I would highly recommend the Animation and Graphics technology course to anyone in Atlantic Canada. I chose 'Grey Paper' as the name of my site for the overly simple reason: I like grey. Grey works well in all situations. If you're not sure if you're attending a funeral or a wedding (a common woe of the socially-correct) grey has your back. Grey is the friend who gives you practical socks for Christmas. I also like paper. Despite my enjoyment of paper, I do most my work digitally. The programs I use most often are Photoshop, Painter and Flash. I work using my TC1100 tablet PC as well as my Intuos 3. The artwork on my site is arranged from newest to oldest at the bottom of the page. When the rows become choppy because the number of thumbnails are uneven, I will do one of two things. I will wait to update until I have another image to even it out, or I will vote an older image off the island. This ensures that over time I filter out the old and sick drawings and am stronger overall. I am very pleased when I add new art and find an old one has to go.
